Ribosomal RNA-processing protein 8 is a protein that is encoded by the RRP8 gene.Enables methylated histone binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to glucose starvation; intrinsic apoptotic signaling pathway by p53 class mediator; and regulation of gene expression. Acts upstream of with a negative effect on regulation of G1 to G0 transition. Located in several cellular components, including cytosol; nuclear lumen; and rDNA heterochromatin. Part of eNoSc complex.
